Fineline Studio is pleased to announce that our Thiseio project has reached practical completion. In the shadow of the Acropolis, the scheme reinvents a modest 1960s flat as a short-term let for visitors, re-establishing it as a durable and adaptable home at the heart of Athens. What began as an ambition for a cool, smart refurbishment rooted in sustainable principles is now a built reality.

The completed project is defined by careful reuse. Existing materials were kept and reworked wherever possible, with construction debris recombined with marble offcuts to form a new Palladiana floor, a surface that carries the building’s history within it. New additions were kept to a minimum: open wardrobes, bathrooms and kitchen counters formed in microcement, and an integrated lightweight bench that combines storage and seating while quietly defining the main living spaces. Throughout, the work of local makers gives the interior its cultural depth.

Delivered on a modest budget through precise specification and low-impact modernisation, the project offers guests a grounded, authentic experience of the city: contemporary comfort within one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Athens. Photography of the completed spaces will follow on the project page shortly.
